"we have a name"

We all have decided that "treat yourself" is our name for end of year degree show, have a go at designing a logo for it. Below are topics of what we've spoken about at today's meeting.
Budget Hugh has told us today that the budget from Uni for our exhibition space at Free Range has gone up from £3000 to roughly £4000. He has also said that we should spend about £1000 on our Brochure and £500 on stuff for the actual event i.e food, drink for guests and other expenses which will need to be addressed nearer the time.
We also have 5 volunteers who would go to the Free Range space at Brick Lane to check out the space for us and their travel expenses will be reimburse from the Uni, anyone else who wants to go will have to pay from their own pocket.
List of Volunteers
Oda Regine
Thanh Nguyen
Sam Whetton
Kai Bohannon
Oli Osbourne
Pictures will be taken of the space and uploaded on here.
Important Exhibition date is the 8th June.
Fund Raising Ideas Think of more ideas for fund raising and post it on here.
SangriĆ” Party at SU bar - Bar owner agreed to let us rent out her bar for fund raising.
Slave Auction - Third year being hired as personal helper for first and second year for few hours or a day.
Bake Sell - Ed and Helena have volunteered for this roll.
Screen Print on canvas bags - Sell at Uni shop or other shops in town.
Adsense - Get paid from Google for traffic and advertisement through our website/blog ect.
Advertising - Rent out spaces on our brochure/website to companies.
Because of the name "treat yourself" we have relate ourselves to sweet. Over 30 names of sweets has been selected and picked out of a hat, each of the sweet will represent one of us and has been chosen at random, unless you can think of a sweet that you like better - it has to be unbranded and doesn't match any of the sweet chosen by other members of the group.

"treat yourself"

"Treat Yourself" is another group name that Josh and Sean came up with recently. Have a go at analysing this name as well as the other names from the meeting on Monday. Josh has also thought that it would be good to see visuals mock ups for the names you have chosen and the reason why you choose it. What we could do is to put people who has chosen the same names into groups, for example, say there was top 4 names so there would be 4 groups pitching a name and concept each, hopefully by the end of the meeting we will get some results.

Anyone who would like to post ideas/concepts on to the blog need a google account. Here's how, go to blogger.com - click create new blog - sign up using your existing email (i.e yourname@hotmail.com), this will be registered as a google account. Send the email to Thanh or post it on here and I will add you to the admin list.

Group Meeting on 25th October at 5pm, please attend.

3rd year blog

First of all, we need a list of people who are interested in having the end of year show, comment on here and join the facebook page so we know. If there are over 50% of us then we should have it for the job opportunities as well as learning to presenting work in a public space.

Space will be rented from Free Range (check them out), uni will cover most of the renting expense but there are other expenses we need to cover for example, money to print out brochures, food and drinks for guests, travel and so if this year show happens we will need to contribute money towards it, some suggests giving in a pound each week, raise money by having events at the SU bar, sell of art work..ect. So if you have any good ideas please post it on here.
