Budget Hugh has told us today that the budget from Uni for our exhibition space at Free Range has gone up from £3000 to roughly £4000. He has also said that we should spend about £1000 on our Brochure and £500 on stuff for the actual event i.e food, drink for guests and other expenses which will need to be addressed nearer the time.
We also have 5 volunteers who would go to the Free Range space at Brick Lane to check out the space for us and their travel expenses will be reimburse from the Uni, anyone else who wants to go will have to pay from their own pocket.
List of Volunteers
Oda Regine
Thanh Nguyen
Sam Whetton
Kai Bohannon
Oli Osbourne
Pictures will be taken of the space and uploaded on here.
Important Exhibition date is the 8th June.

Because of the name "treat yourself" we have relate ourselves to sweet. Over 30 names of sweets has been selected and picked out of a hat, each of the sweet will represent one of us and has been chosen at random, unless you can think of a sweet that you like better - it has to be unbranded and doesn't match any of the sweet chosen by other members of the group.

-Just a few ideas for fundraisers, a swear box, same concept as the spare change jar.
ReplyDelete-Maybe some sort of quiz night, charge 2-3 quid per person, and we could all chip in for a prize for the winning team, I can speak o student union, get them to let us have it in the SU bar.
-get a sweet jar, and people pay a quid, and they have to guess how many sweets in the jar, same thing as the quiz, have a prize on offer (use the sweets that perhaps we going to use at the show)
-lol a car wash at uni, im sure if we get the girls to do it we can generate a lot of money, its just an idea btw lol, perhaps charge a few quid.
-bingo night
-chocolate fountain (i can get the chocolate, anyone who can supply a fountain, and get some bits like marshmellows and strawberries and charge people a quid.
-snail racing
-arm wrestling competition/thumb wrestling
-some sort of raffle
let me know what you guys think :)
Nick
theyre all sounds good, anything that would generate us money
ReplyDeletewell what we can do monday if you like is make a plan of when we can do what, like a calendar leading up to the show, and whoever wants to help, rather than having one person do it all, we can split ourselves up and work on raising money with one idea. see if anyone likes these ideas and who wants to be involved in what.
